Progression of an Ambulance Call

The 911 Center is the first link in the emergency medical services chain. The second link is the response to the call and the on scene care.

TLC's response to calls is well under the national standards, which means we get quality care to patients in less time than many ambulance companies around the country.

Once the ambulance gets to the patient, it's the education, experience, professionalism and compassion of the TLC ambulance crew that instills confidence and comfort to the patient and family.

The minimum standard of care for TLC Emergency Medical Services is Advanced Life Support (ALS). All ambulances are equipped with ALS equipment and a minimum staff of one critical care technician (an ALS trained provider) and a basic emergency technician (a BLS provider).

During the last decade, ALS services have become the standard of care expected by most communities and are recognized by the healthcare industry to be proven to reduce morbidity and mortality - saving lives.

According to the American Heart Association, the survival on a cardiac arrest patient is in direct proportion to the initiation of prompt cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Advance Life Support care.
